Candain National has restored rail service in Nora, IL following Thursday’s derailment of 17 cars carrying ethanol. Canadian National temporarily reopened the crossing at North Stagecoach Trail to the public and staff will remain on site until permanent repairs can be made. Residents of Nora can expect to see railroad crews present over the coming weeks for outstanding cleanup activities and repairs, including environmental monitoring. The cause of the incident is under investigation.
