During a special meeting of the Fennimore City Council last month, the council approved two personnel changes in the Fennimore Police Department. Current Fennimore Police Department Assistant Police Chief Walt Dresen was promoted to replace retiring police chief Chris French. Additionally, Fennimore Police Officer Adam Fecht has been promoted to fill Dresen’s assistant police chief role. Dresen and Fecht’s new roles will officially begin on Jan. 1, 2026.
