Iowa Congressman Randy Feenstra has officially announced his candidacy for Iowa governor. Feenstra, a native of Hull, Iowa, has represented Iowa’s 4th congressional district since 2021. In his campaign announcement posted on Facebook Tuesday, Feenstra said, “I’m running to be the next Governor of Iowa to take our state to new heights. Working with President Trump, we will build a stronger Iowa and keep the liberal, progressive agenda out of our state.” Feenstra’s current endorsements include Sen. Joni Ernst and Lt. Gov. Chris Cournoyer. He launched an exploratory campaign in May, following Gov. Kim Reynolds’ decision not to seek reelection.
