The Grant County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash involving a semi in Platteville township. Thursday afternoon the Grant County Dispatch Center received a report of a semi vs. car crash on USH 151, near the northbound exit of County Highway D, in Platteville Township. 50-year-old Michael Ruehle of Dickeyville, was traveling northbound when a semi hauling what was believed to be a load of gravel entered his lane of traffic, striking the front of Ruehle’s vehicle. The semi did not stop and continued northbound toward Lafayette County. Ruehle was not injured in the crash, but his vehicle received disabling damage. The semi was not located, but this incident remains under investigation. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is asking for anyone with information or anyone who may have witnessed the crash to please contact the Grant County Sheriff’s Office or Grant County Crime Stoppers.
