One of two people arrested following a drug task force execution of a search warrant on a Platteville home earlier this year has been sentenced to more than two years in prison. 27-year-old D’angelo Ross of Platteville, was sentenced to 30 months in prison and 36 months of extended supervision following release. Ross recently received the sentence in Grant County Circuit Court after being found guilty of maintaining a drug trafficking place with intent to deliver a controlled substance on or near a park, possession of THC with intent to deliver on or near a park, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver on or near a park, possession of narcotics with intent to deliver on or near a park and possession of psilocybin with intent to deliver on or near a park. Ross and 20-year-old Alayna Sweet of Hazel Green, both were arrested after the Richland-Iowa-Grant Drug Task Force searched a residence on West Madison Street on Jan. 17. Sweet faces a jury trial on drug charges related to the case on Jan. 6.
