Two teenagers were injured following a crash on Saturday morning. Saturday morning, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a single-vehicle crash with injuries, on Irish Hollow Road in Waterloo Township. 18-year-old Bryce Kuhn and his 15-year-old passenger, both of rural Bloomington, were driving on Irish Hollow Road downhill when Kuhn lost control of the vehicle on the snow/ice covered road while attempting to negotiate e a slight curve in the road. Kuhn’s vehicle left the road and struck a guardrail end along a bridge. The vehicle then traveled off the side of the bridge and overturned, coming to a rest on its roof. Kuhn and his passenger were able to exit the vehicle and walk to a nearby residence to report the crash. Airbags were deployed in the vehicle and it sustained disabling damage. Both Kuhn and his passenger were wearing seatbelts. Kuhn sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Grant Regional Health Center by Lancaster EMS. Kuhn’s passenger sustained a minor hand injury and declined treatment. During the snow storm, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to 26 vehicles that slid off the road, 7 were crashes with property damage, and 1 crash had injuries.
