Abundant Life Christian School marks first anniversary of school shooting

Leadership from Abundant Life Christian School shared a message with the community on Friday ahead of the one-year mark today of the Dec. 16, 2024, school shooting that claimed the lives of two people and the shooter. Six others were injured. In a statement released Friday the school said class will be in session on Tuesday (Dec. 16) as students and staff continue the healing process together. The school will be observing a Day of Honor and Service. The day will include age-appropriate activities designed to support the social, emotional, and spiritual needs of students and staff. The statement also said they appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers and reach out to let people associated with the school know you are thinking of them.
