Mineral Point man arrested following welfare check

A man was arrested in Mineral Point Saturday following a welfare check. On Saturday afternoon, the Iowa County Communications Center received a request for a welfare check on a male subject near a business in the 700 block of Dodge Street in Mineral Point. Mineral Point Police and Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the call. As a result, 40-year-old Jason A Bennett was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Trespassing. Bennett was transported to the Iowa County Jail where he was booked on the charges.
