Lancaster and Platteville announce Christmas tree pick-up

The City of Lancaster has announced that Christmas tree pick-up starts January 5. In a social media post, the City said residents that need the service should place their trees at the curb and remove all lights, ornaments, tinsel, and tree stands. Only natural trees will be accepted. The City of Platteville Street Department will also be picking up Christmas trees (weather permitting) on Mondays: January 5, 12, 19 and 26, 2026.
