Mount Horeb man arrested for using fraudulent bill

One person was arrested in Mount Horeb after using a fraudulent $100 bill at a Kwik Trip. The Mount Horeb Police Department said the call came in on Tuesday, when staff reported a customer using a fake bill. The bill looked realistic, officials said, with realistic size and appearance including the 3D blue security ribbon and holograms. The tell, however, was that the bill had an image of Donald Trump on it instead of Benjamin Franklin. Officials said that the fake bill was mixed amongst regular bills. After reviewing body camera footage and confirming the Kwik Trip requested to press charges, the suspect was arrested for forgery and booked into the Dane County Jail.
