Independent record stores will take center stage again on Saturday, April 18, 2026, as Record Store Day returns with a new slate of limited physical releases. Organizers confirmed the date alongside an early look at select titles planned for the annual event, which is held simultaneously across the U.S., U.K., Canada, and other international markets.
This year’s list reflects how wide the Record Store Day audience has become. New vinyl tied to pop, rock, and global acts sits alongside archival releases and specialty pressings. Among the projects scheduled for release are exclusive titles connected to KATSEYE and HUNTR/X, as well as material from legacy artists, including Bruce Springsteen. The mix continues the event’s tradition of pairing newer acts with long-established names.
As in previous years, most releases will be pressed in limited quantities and sold only through participating independent shops. Many titles feature colored vinyl, alternate artwork, or first-time physical formats, making them unavailable through standard retail channels.
