Dubuque Police Chief Jeremy Jensen is retiring in August. Jensen announced his pending retirement during a Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce event Wednesday morning. Jensen was appointed police chief in 2022 by a unanimous City Council vote after the retirement of former Police Chief Mark Dalsing. He has worked for the Dubuque Police Department for over 30 years.
