One person was airlifted following a head-on crash in Lafayette County. Monday afternoon first responders from Lafayette County and Darlington responded to Highway 81 in Darlington Township for a two-vehicle accident. 74-year-old Susan A. Dahmen of Monroe was traveling westbound on Highway 81 when she crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming vehicle head-on, driven by 25-year-old Linnea G. Tabaka of Monroe. Dahmen was airlifted to the hospital for severe, life-threatening injuries and Tabaka was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Both vehicles received disabling damage and were towed from the scene.
