Lafayette County Woman Injured When Vehicle Strikes Tree

A woman from Lafayette County was injured when her vehicle crashed into a tree around 12:30am Wednesday morning. Deputies from the Green County Sheriff’s Department, along with New Glarus EMS and the New Glarus Fire Department responded to the intersection of Hustad Valley Road and County Highway J in York Township. 51 year old Cathleen Francois (“Fran-swah”) of Blanchardville was westbound on Hustad Valley Road, traveled through an intersection and struck a tree. Francois reported being injured and was taken by ambulance for further evaluation.
