The Grant County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two-vehicle crash between a van and a pickup on Highway 35/61 near Dickeyville Monday around 6:30am. 43 year old Eric Mook of Potosi was driving the truck north and was stopped in the lane of traffic waiting to make a left hand turn with his left turn signal on. The driver of the van, 32 year old Julie Salmon of Potosi, was also traveling north and saw the turn signal, but she was reaching for something in the vehicle and had to swerve to avoid a high impact crash. Salmon’s van collided with Mook’s truck, causing damage to both vehicles, but no one was injured.The crash is under investigation at this time.
