In an effort to address a backlog of outstanding arrest warrants and to improve the efficiency of the local criminal justice system, the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department invites individuals with outstanding Iowa County Wisconsin arrest warrants to present themselves in person at the Iowa County Courthouse between the 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27th. When you arrive at the Iowa County Courthouse, go to the Iowa County District Attorneys Office and they will direct you to where to have your warrant vacated with no posting of additional cash bond required, and a new court date will be scheduled to assist you in moving your case towards closure. The policy does not apply to outstanding arrest warrants for violent felony crimes or for child support warrants that require payment as a condition of purging a contempt finding. A complete list of valid warrants are available at the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department website.
