An investigation is underway after law enforcement officials in Jo Daviess County were called about shots being fired in Galena. A report shows police responded around 1:30 last Saturday morning to the 600 block of Gear Street. Investigators said they found a shell casing at the scene. No injuries were reported and the only damage authorities could find was to an unoccupied vehicle. Officers say they’re still investigating the shooting and will not be releasing any more details at this time.
