Boscobel Police have said a young girl reported being approached by a strange man Tuesday. A release from the Boscobel Police Department states the incident happened near Hummel Avenue while the girl was waiting for a school bus to pick her up. The girl told police a white male driving a white-colored van stopped and asked if she wanted a ride. She told the man ‘no’ twice and he drove away. Police say the girl described the man as having scars on the left side of his face. She said that the rear window of the van looked like there was spray paint covering it. Authorities remind parents to make sure their children know never to get in a vehicle with a stranger. Also, be sure to report incidents like this to local police immediately.
