Absentee voters won’t get any extra time to submit their ballots. The U-S Supreme Court has blocked a plan to extend the deadline for turning those ballots in. It had been tentatively extended to April 13th in reaction to the coronavirus pandemic. Instead, today (Tuesday) is the deadline. The Wisconsin spring election is being viewed by many as a national test case in a broader legal battle over voter access. The U-S Supreme Court’s Monday decision came shortly after the Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers didn’t have the authority to move the election date.
