Grant County Emergency Management officials say approximately 500 coronavirus tests were administered on Thursday in Lancaster. A social media post said there were nearly 200 cars lined up at the fair-grounds before the site opened at 10a. Emergency management director Steve Braun says a National Guard team and Grant County health department nurses pressed on thru the day in scorching heat, opening additional lanes to accommodate the large crowd. Officials had planned for about 400 visitors, but they processed roughly 100 more than that by the end of the day Thursday. There will be another COVID-19 testing site this coming Wednesday (July 15th) from 9 til 4 at Riverside Park in Cassville.
