Charges are pending after a woman from Lancaster struck an Amish buggy Monday on Highway 18 near Fennimore. According to the Grant County Sheriff’s office, 40 year old Christina Hudnut of Lancaster was traveling west on Highway 18 around 1:30am on Monday and struck an Amish buggy operated by 21 year old Moses Glick of Fennimore. Glick was the lone occupant of the buggy and was uninjured. The buggy was heavily damaged as a result of the accident. Hudnut was uninjured and her vehicle had moderate damage. An investigation showed that Hudnut had fallen asleep as she was driving, which caused her to crash into the buggy. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Fennimore Police, Fire and EMS units.
