Hamer On Leave

One of the women accused of attacking state Senator Tim Carpenter has been put on administrative leave by the Mount Horeb Area School District. According to the district’s website, 26-year-old Samantha Hamer is employed as a social worker for Mount Horeb schools. An administrator for the district confirmed Hamer was placed on leave Monday – after the district learned of her involvement in the attack. The district is unable to provide any additional information on this matter as litigation is still pending. Hamer – who is a Platteville native – is expected to make an initial appearance in Dane County Circuit Court on Wednesday
