Organizers of the Potosi Catfish Festival have announced some changes for next week’s event (Aug 7-9). According to a release, the truck and tractor pulls scheduled for August 7th and 8th have been canceled. The Catfish Fest parade has also been canceled. Organizers say they’ll still have a fireworks display the night of August 8th – however, people will not be allowed in the grandstands. Spectators can view the fireworks from their vehicles – parked either at the Tennyson ball diamond or in the parking lot of Saints Andrew & Thomas School. The fish fry will take place August 9th from 11 til 4, but will be offered as carry-outs only. The post says garage sales can be held at the discretion of each resident.
