School board members in Cuba City have voted on their restart plans going into the fall semester. The board voted unanimously Wednesday night to begin the school year with in-person instruction 5-days-a-week. The Cuba City school district will offer a virtual option to those parents who prefer to do online courses. According to a survey done by school officials, more than 75% of the 555 respondents were supportive of returning to in-school learning 5-days-a-week. Less than 5% of those surveyed were in favor of all-virtual instruction.
As far as athletics at Cuba City, the school board voted to keep cross country and girls’ golf in the fall. But, the Cuban football and volleyball teams will have their competitions moved to the spring. The district will stick with that sports plan no matter what the SWAL conference decides.
