There was no dramatic anouncement from the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee Tuesday night. This time, the Democratic Party chose former Vice President Joe Biden as its nominee for president in a roll-call vote conducted online. The third time was the charm for Biden. He ran for president previously in 1988 and again in 2008. Technically, he clinched his party’s nomination in early June when the other candidates for the nomination dropped out. Biden’s wife, Jill, and former President Bill Clinton were among the featured speakers during the virtual convention Tuesday night. All 67 Wisconsin votes went to Biden.
