Don’t be alarmed if you hear sirens on Monday (Aug 24) in southwest Wisconsin. Officials at the Grant County Communications Center will be testing warning sirens county-wide Monday between noon and 1p. According to Grant County Emergency Management, the reason for the testing is to verify programming in the radio dispatch consoles at the county’s new 911 communications center. These tests also provide municipalities a chance to verify their sirens are working properly.
