A Hazel Green man is facing his 8th offense of drunk driving following a traffic stop on Wednesday night. According to a release from the Hazel Green Police Department, 53-year-old Brock Broshous was driving on Percival Street about 10:20pm. Officers reported his vehicle was weaving in its lane and traveling at various speeds. Police pulled Broshous over as he was leaving the village on Highway 11. Officers detected the smell of alcohol and other indicators of impairment from Broshous. A report shows he had a BAC of 0.196% – more than twice the legal limit. Broshous was arrested on charges of OWI 8th-offense, operating after revocation, and failing to install an interlock device. He was taken to Southwest Health for a blood sample and then to the Grant County Jail.
