The Richland County Sheriff’s department has released details of a drug arrest Friday on East Gage Street, near Foremost Farms in Richland Center. A vehicle was stopped at around 7pm for registration violations and suspicious activity. In an investigation of the driver, 26 year old Benjamin Peterson of Mazomanie, and search of the vehicle, authorities found approximately 30 grams of methamphetamine and .6 grams of heroin. Peterson was arrested and taken to the Richland County Jail for drug offenses. The Richland Center Police Department assisted at the scene and the investigation is still ongoing.
