The Grant County Sheriff’s Department has shared some updates on area highway construction projects. According to the sheriff’s office, Highway 81 between Lancaster and Platteville will not be officially open until November 24th. The delay is so that crews can complete installation of guard rails and signage. The sheriff’s office also reports that Highway 11 from Highway 35 to Hazel Green will be officially opened by the end of the day Friday (Nov 19). Officials ask motorists to avoid those area so crews can finish their work.
