Winds of over 40 miles per hour whipped through parts of the tri-state region on Sunday. The National Weather Service recorded a peak wind speed of 46 miles per hour at the Boscobel Airport. The City of Lancaster had a top wind speed of 43 miles per hour. And the Platteville Municipal Airport registered a peak wind speed of 41 miles per hour. Winds diminished during the evening hours, but have brought in a cold front as highs today (Mon) will only be in the lower 30s and overnight temps dip into the teens.
