The Wisconsin Cattlemen’s Association has announced their annual award recipients which includes the Cattlemen of the Year. Steve Springer of Iowa County was selected as the 2022 Cattlemen of the Year. Springer is a third-generation beef farmer who has been in the business for over 40 years. He currently serves on the Cattlemen’s Beef Board after his nomination from the Wisconsin Cattlemen’s Assocation. He is a member of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and Iowa County Cattlemen’s Association. The University of Wisconsin – Platteville Pioneer Farm was also honored with the Environmental Stewardship Award.
