The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department is sharing the weekly call volume of their 911 Communications Center. Last week, from March 15, 2026 – March 21, 2026 the Iowa County 911 Communication Center handled 542 calls for service. Some of the leading calls for service were 89 traffic stops, 35 controlled burns, 43 motor vehicle accidents, 25 motorist assists, 31 EMS calls, and 4 fire calls. Year to date there has been 5,975 calls for service. Over the same time period in 2025 there were 4,976 calls. That is is an increase of 999 calls this year.
