Site preparation is underway at a 1,400-acre solar farm near Potosi. It’s the first step of construction in Alliant Energy’s Grant County Solar Project. The company said the 200-megawatt solar farm should create enough energy for around 50,000 homes. Next steps include site clearing and grading, structural work and solar panel installation. The goal is to complete the solar farm late next year barring any major supply-chain issues.
