Congressman Derrick Van Orden kicked off a bike tour across Wisconsin’s Third Congressional District Thursday. During a stop in Platteville, Van Orden spoke about the importance of having data centers. He emphasized that data centers are crucial and the biggest threat to national security that the country has seen since nuclear weapons.
He also referenced the concerns he’s hear regarding data centers
Van Orden emphasized that he believes with any data center development that communities must have final say, farmlands must be protected, and utility rates will not raise. He also says that by placing data centers on military bases, it helps alleviate some of these issues.
