Iowa’s First Gentleman recovering from surgery

The governor’s office has announced that Kevin Reynolds, the husband of Governor Kim Reynolds, is recovering from cancer-related surgery to remove a brain tumor. First Gentleman Kevin Reynolds was diagnosed with lung cancer three years ago. He underwent radiation treatment, then took an immunotherapy therapy drug that kept the cancer in remission. Governor Reynolds said in a written statement that her family “is like many others who experience the highs and lows of navigating a cancer diagnosis over time” and her husband is recovering from surgery to remove a tumor from his brain. He will begin radiation therapy to treat the cancer.
