Belmont Police Warning of Grandparent Scams

The Belmont Police Department is warning residents against “grandparent scams”. They are sharing insight after they had a victim lose thousands of dollars. To avoid this type of scam, or any suspicious phone call, simply hang up immediately. If you have caller ID and you don’t recognize an incoming phone number, just let it go to voicemail.
