Work Underway on Alliant’s Grant County Solar Project

Constuction crews have begun building driveways and access roads as well as grading the site in preparing for pile installing at the Grant County Solar Project. This project could store enough energy to power over 100,000 Wisconsin homes for four hours. Once approved by the state Public Service Commision, Alliant Energy plans to begin construction on the battery projects next and expect it to be in service by next fall.
