Wisconsin residents are advised to pay attention to flashing green lights on the roadways this winter. According to Lafayette County Emergency Medical Services officials, a new law took effect in April which allows county and municipal snowplows in Wisconsin to use fluorescent green lights in addition to red or amber ones. According to a report, the green lights have better visibility and create a greater contrast in the warning system. Drivers are asked to proceed with caution, slow down and give room to snowplows.
