Mineral Point announces new city administrator

The City of Mineral Point has selected its next city administrator. Matthew Honer will assume the role on Jan. 3. He will succeed Robert Buckingham, who is retiring early next year and who has been in the position since June 2021. The two will work together for a few months to ensure a smooth transition. Honer has spent the last five years at Southwest Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission and worked most recently as a senior planner managing long-range planning for area communities.
