This marks the first time the Vikings have won the division since 2017 and the first time they’ve made the playoffs since 2019. It also snaps a three-season streak of division championships for the Packers.
This is the Vikings’ 21st division title in franchise history and their fifth since the NFC North was formed in 2002. The Packers, by contrast, also have 21 division titles but four of them came before the AFL-NFL merger. Green Bay has won the NFC North 12 times since 2002, more than any other team.
The Packers still have a chance to make the playoffs, but it is slim and they need some help. Not only does Green Bay need to win every one of their last four games, they also need the Seahawks, Giants and Commanders to lose some games. The Green and Gold sit two games out of the final Wild Card spot as the season enters the home stretch.
The push for the playoffs continues on Monday when the Packers host the Los Angeles Rams at Lambeau Field. Kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m. CT
Romeo Doubs is expected to return, marking the first time since Week 2 that all five of the Packers top receivers will be active. David Bakhtiari remains unavailable as he recovers from an appendectomy. The Rams will be without star defensive tackle Aaron Donald.
