One Vehicle Accident On Highway 151 Near Belmont

A deputy from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s department responded to a one vehicle crash on Highway 151 in the Town of Belmont just after 5pm Thursday. 51 year old Jayne Sherer of Platteville was traveling south Highway 151 when, due to slippery road conditions, she lost control of her vehicle, causing it to exit the roadway and strike a cement wall. Sherer was taken to Southwest Health for non-life threatening injuries. Sherer’s vehicle had moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Belmont EMS, Belmont Fire and the Grant County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
