Train Derailment at Crawford County and Vernon County Line

A train has derailed near De Soto. The derailment happened Thursday afternoon near Highway 35 and Highway 82 at the Crawford County and Vernon County line. A report indicates the wreckage of what appears to be cargo boxes strewn along the railway and into the Mississippi River. The Wisconsin DOT closed Highway 35.
