An air quality alert has been issued for the tri-state area as smoke from Canadian wildfires moves through the region. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has issued an air quality advisory for the entirety of the state through today (Wednesday, June 28) with the worst air quality expected in the eastern third of the state. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency also issued an air quality alert today (June 28) for an area that includes Jo Daviess County. Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources officials issued an air quality alert lasting until noon Thursday for an area that includes Grant, Lafayette, Crawford and Iowa counties.
