A professor in the University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s biology department will discuss local prairie restoration this week in Lancaster. Jeff Huebschman will present “Seeds in My Genes: Musings of a Prairie Enthusiast” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Schreiner Memorial Library. Huebschman will discuss his experiences in restoring prairie on his property. After the talk, attendees may drive about a mile west to visit the property, where Huebschman will give an informal tour and answer questions. For information, call the library at 608-723-7304.
