On Thursday around 3:45pm, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle southbound on Highway 80 near Martinville Road in Lima Township. It appears that the vehicle left the roadway and drove into a cornfield on the west side of the highway. The vehicle then left the scene and continued southbound on Highway 80. After an investigation, it was found that the offending vehicle drove about 1,000 feet through the cornfield before turning around and driving back on to the highway. The only description given for the offending vehicle was a tan or silver SUV. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 608-723-2157.
