Deputies in Lafayette County responded to County Highway M in the Town of Jordan Monday around 6pm for a report of a vehicle in a ditch. Deputies spoke with the driver, 48 year old Jimmy Marty of South Wayne, who said he was traveling south when his vehicle dropped onto the gravel shoulder and he failed to regain control. The vehicle continued into the ditch line, struck a culvert, went across a driveway and became lodged in a deep ditch embankment. Marty said he was not injured, and was wearing his seatbelt, and both front airbags deployed. The vehicle had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
