Hazel Green Man In Collision With Bicyclist, Injuring 13 Year Old

Police say a 13-year-old bicyclist was injured in a collision with a vehicle in Dubuque. According to Dubuque police, the child was taken by private vehicle to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Police say a vehicle driven by 57 year old William Rigdon of Hazel Green was traveling on Rockdale Road through the intersection with Grandview Avenue just before 1p.m. Tuesday. As the child rode her bicycle on Grandview through the intersection, the bike and vehicle collided. Rigdon was cited with failure to yield right of way.
