Two People Arrested in Arena

Arena Police conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 14 in the township of Arena Tuesday around 9:30pm. As a result, the driver, 28 year old Karlie Hansen of Viroqua was arrested on charges of Disorderly Conduct, Resisting or Obstructing an Officer and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The passenger in the vehicle, 42 year old Timothy Monroe of La Crosse was also arrested on charges of Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 4th offense of Operating While Revoked, and an out of county warrant. Both Hanson and Monroe were booked into the Iowa County Jail. Hansen later posted bond and has been released. Monroe remains booked into the Iowa County Jail. Iowa County Deputies and Dane County authorities also assisted on the arrest.
