A trial date has been reset for an East Dubuque man accused of murder in a fatal shooting outside a Jones County grocery store. 39 year old Nathan Russell is charged in Iowa District Court of Jones County with first-degree murder, going armed with intent and felon in possession of a firearm. He has pleaded not guilty. Russell waived his right to a speedy trial, and his jury trial now is set for Aug. 8. The charges stem from a Nov. 7 incident in which reports say that Russell shot and killed 48 year old Aaron McAtee, of Monticello, Iowa outside the Monticello Fareway. McAtee was an employee of the store and had no reported ties to Russell.
