Southwest Wisconsin Technical College in Fennimore received a $2,000 grant from the Alliant Energy Foundation that will be used to support an on-campus food pantry. Katie’s Cupboard is a service for students in need. Angie Herting, the director of development and major gifts at Southwest Tech, said the organization is a symbol of resilience and community support. Herting adds. “In many rural communities, the nearest grocery store may be miles away, making access to food a challenge. Katie’s Cupboard ensures that no student goes hungry.”
